TARLAC second district Congresswoman Susan Yap graced the ground-breaking ceremony of the P7.5-million out-patient multi-purpose rehabilitation facility at the back of the Tarlac Provincial Hospital [TPH] extension building, December 7.
Yap who funded the facility under her Priority Development Assistance Fund [PDAF], said that the rehabilitation will cater to those out-patients who needs counseling.
“This is not a rehabilitation facility for drug dependents but for patients who needs further counseling,” Yap said adding that even couples who need counseling can be catered.
According to Yap, once the facility is completed, TPH personnel with expertise in counseling will be tapped to run the rehab center.
“Experts in the field of counseling will manage the facility,” Yap said.
Once finished, the facility will have a conference room for counseling purposes, fully air- conditioned rooms with complete amenities.
“I want our fellow Tarlaquenos to have fully recovered from their illnesses and are better prepared through counseling before they go home,” Yap said.
Joining Yap during the ground-breaking ceremony were Concepcion District Hospital head Dr. Rex Quimbao, OIC provincial Engineer Franco Mendoza, and the employees of the TPH.
